SKYPARK HOTELTomas Claudio Street, Zamboanga City

The hotel being the tallest structure in Zamboanga, has the Best Japanese Restaurant in Mindanao. A 10-storey building, so far the tallest hotel, located at the heart of the city. Didn't really stay in this hotel but I've been here twice for dinner at the restaurant at the topmost part of the hotel building. They offer good food which is a mixture of Filipino, Chinese and Japanese cuisine served in a reasonable price plus you get a great view of the city especially at night. Transportation (tricycle) is very accessible and available anytime except in the wee hours. Surrounded by banks, grocery stores and bazaars, fast food chains and bakeries- everything you need is just a few steps away. Malls like Mindpro, Southway Square and Gateway are located nearby. The downside is that there is no parking area and it's better off using the elevator as the stairs would really annoy you.

Mano- Mano simply mean eating a meal with your fingers and it's not a bad thing in this restaurant. They serve great barbeque with rice as well as fish menus- native Zamboanga style of cuisine. Sabroso! (Delicious!)

Zamboanga City's Pride: CURACHA stewed in Coconut milk |
Obviously, Alavar offers numerous variety of seafood, from different kinds of fishes, up to the exotic crab-and-lobster-like Curacha, which is a must try whenever you are in Zamboanga. Alavar Restaurant often charges high price for their food, but bear this in mind- experiencing an authentic Zamboangeno dish can't be paid by money. Alavar is truly one of Zamboanga's pride.;)
- Paseo del Mar
Paseo del Mar is always been the chaotic place for friends, families, lovers, and for barkadas. Nightlife in Paseo del Mar is always the highlight of your visit. Entertainers such as local music band flocks in the place to entertain people and make fun through the entire night. You can choose from the myriad of restaurants in place to dine-in, from grill bars, to seafood fests, crave for desserts, and the usual bar.
Tripadvisor: “The Nightlife if Zamboanga” by nicolo1209
Paseo del Mar locates itself, literally beside the sea, and it is actually a nice place to hang out with friends, family, and couples. Restaurants abound in this area, and many would just be there to relax and enjoy the night. This place is also filled with music where one could dance their way and enjoy their evening. Do not forget to try the Knickerboxers, a type of dessert of fruits and ice cream which I find surprisingly delightful and unique to Zamboanga.
Do not forget to witness the fountain show where there is a combination of water, light and fire exhibit all to the tune of some music.
Since this is a wholesome place for everyone, hard drinks are not normally available here, but there are bars outside where one can indulge in.
