How to get to Zamboanga City...
If originating from Manila, the trip will
take about 1 hour and 30 minutes by plane. Several airlines are scheduled bound
for Zamboanga and vice versa daily. The major gateway and hub airline hub in Zamboanga
City is the Zamboanga International Airport.
If you're a budget-wise traveler, book your
trip as early as you can to avail limited airline seat promo. Some airlines
offer a round trip ticket for only 2 thousand pesos or less.
Keep in mind that there are NO TAXIS in the
city. Don’t expect yellow cabs to pull you up once you’ve arrived in the
airport. I don’t know why, but it’s one thing that intrigues me and should be
one main concern for the government to settle. Jeepneys and tricycles are
common means of transportation in the city when commuting a public vehicle. If
you have friends or relatives with private vehicle, it's prudent to ask them to
tour you around the city to avoid hassle, heavy traffic, and excess
transportation expenses.
Local travel agencies offer arranged tour
packages on selected destinations. But if you want to step out of the usual,
explore the city well, and experience real adventure by yourself, you can plan
or arrange your schedule to visit the places of your interest. It's best to have
a local companion to guide you along your trip to avoid being lost in the city.
OTHER MODE OF TRANSPORTATION

Peninsula ports from major destinations in the country. Buses also run to
