Perlita de Zamboanga

Variety of Seashells as Souvenir Items. (Actually, its ILLEGAL!)
These seashells are sold at Lantaka Hotels' premises. Actually, selling seashells without the permission of the local government is illegal. Obtaining permit should be done first before selling any seashell souvenir  items. Its been the livelihood of most of the local residents in the area to sell seashells as souvenir items, which is quite alarming because it causes environmental degradation and harm to the marine environment. But, considering the fact that the local residents doesn't have an alternative business to sustain their daily needs. Exquisite isn't it??? Colorful and beautiful.

Pearly Shell...

Pearly Shell
Bracelets, Necklaces, and all Accessories you can think of- Sold in Lantaka Hotel, Zamboanga City
The accessories above are sold in Lantaka Hotel, which is the primary market of pearls in Zamboanga City as souvenir items. These are true freshwater pearls, the evident is at the top picture. Accessory makers makes it smooth and round, as if perfectly molded beads. Price? I'm quite not sure about it, but I guess the price ranges from Php 100 to Php 1,000. Jewelers commands higher prices if they think you're affluent enough- and that's what we call a perceived price. hahahah. . . But if you wanted to buy in bulk, you can make "tawad" so that you can't spend much.

El Krus na Monte

El Krus na Monte in Chavacano literally means "The Cross in the Mountain". This was taken at the foot of the Abong-abong Mountain in Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. Challenge: Try to figure out the small white cross on top of the hill. . . . . and there you go, I know you've seen it immediately! Amazing isn't it, a white cross on top of the mountain. Climbing up the hill isn't that much tiring, but be sure to bring plenty of water, foods, and a camera when heading up! ;)
