These are some old photos of Zamboanga City. Well kept and considered to be treasures. These are the evidences that the City of Zamboanga is very rich is culture and traditions thus creating the similarity from "vintas".

Spectacular sunset can always be experienced in Zamboanga City's boulevard. Since Zamboanga is facing the western side, sunset can be witnessed so beautifully. ---> Photos are courtesy of Flickr.

EL BANCA na APLAYA simply means "the boat onshore". This was in Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City at dusk. The shore serves as the port of fishermen's boats after fishing at sea. ;) ---> Photo courtesy of Fayezha in Flickr.

Italian Bougainvillea variety |

Bougainvillea Glabra, or commonly known as Bougainvillea is now in season in Zamboanga City. When you visit the suburban areas of Zamboanga City, normally you'll see a lot of Bougainvillea plant/vines that are decorated on most of the houses' facade. This lovely flower only blooms during hot climate, which marks the arrival of summer season. Paper Flower is also its sobriquet because of its flower's paper-like texture. Bougainvillea is actually the national flower of Guam. Bougainvillea can also be made into bonsai plants, which makes it more stunning and beautiful as it blooms only with flowers. As a matter of fact, fully grown Bougainvillea, when in blooming season, they're like a flower tree that were very colorful, especially when combined with other Bougainvillea variety. This flower comes in myriad of colors; there are purple, rare pink, red, white, yellow, and orange, that makes it more attractive, stunning, and fascinating. In addition, Bougainvillea is a thorny vine that climbs anywhere, even in neighbor's backyard. Actually, even if you intend to preserve the Bougainvillea flower, its vibrant color will never fade. Try to place it in a grumpy old book, and eventually, you have your own preserved Bougainvillea flower. This flower happens to be the favorite flower of my very dear friend. They really look lovely.
